Linda and I had been thinking about remodeling the kitchen and house for a while. I took the first step by visiting Lowe's to get some ideas and ask some questions. Before I knew it, we were measuring the existing kitchen and designing a new floor plan. We had gotten to the point that we need a contractor. Kelley, our designer, mentioned that she had the perfect contractor for what I was looking for. Silently I thought “Oh my goodness, I have heard nightmare stories about dealing with a contractor!” Horror literally overcame me. Kelly and I did make arrangements to meet at the house with the contractor, Julio Gamez, who owns G & G Construction. To make a long story short, we hit it off. Linda and I had a good feeling about Julio from the start. We were off to the races.
On day one, we had all of Julio’s team at the house. He introduced them, gave them a walk through, and explained what we were going to do. I noticed his team was all clean cut and very professional. As the project progressed, I was even more impressed. It was going so smoothly that I actually enjoyed the process. Things were torn up, but we saw progress daily. All in all, the job was professional, very well done, and met our satisfaction. I would use Julio and his team for any project in the future and have recommended him several times already. In fact, two of his prospective clients (who we did not know) came over to see our remodel and could not stop their compliments. They also hired G & G to do their remodel. To really display G & G’s dedication to be the best, on the last day, as the men were cleaning up, a full gallon of white oil based enamel was spilled down the stairs. They immediately cleaned it up, pealed up the old carpet, and within two days had new carpet that matched installed at no cost to us.
Our beautiful new kitchen with new cabinets, tile floor, and granite counter tops now add value to our home and the wonderful wood floors throughout the downstairs absolutely make the house complete…not to mention all new light fixtures and professional paint job inside and out. Not only did we get a new house, we also made new friends.
